Kalahari Resorts and Conventions is in the midst of a building and construction boom, with the latest project being an expansion of its Pocono Mountains convention center in New York. Scheduled to open in late 2019, the addition will more than double the size of meeting facilities on location, adding 105,000 square feet, which will bring the convention center footprint to 205,000 square feet. In addition, Kalahari recently broke ground on a 200,000-square-foot convention center and waterpark in Round Rock, Texas, and a 100,000-plus-square-foot expansion of its Wisconsin Dells property is scheduled to open in September 2019.
