Plans have been announced to redevelop the Milwaukee Athletic Club into a 96-room hotel with restaurants. The $70 million project, located at 758 N. Broadway in downtown Milwaukee, will involve restoring the building and completing it in advance of the Democratic National Convention in June 2020.
The building is being purchased by local developers who have teamed up with hotel operator Sage Hospitality, which runs hotels in 16 states, including the Ritz-Carlton and The Blackstone in Chicago, Hotel Commonwealth in Boston, and several in Colorado.
