Marriott (and all Starwood hotel properties) has changed their cancellation policy to 48 hours in advance instead of 24 hours.

If you want to cancel your reservation at a Marriott or Starwood Property (including Courtyard, Sheraton or Westin) and avoid any fees, you will need to do so 48 hours in advance instead of 24. The hotelier says this change in policy will allow guests seeking last minute accommodations more availability.
